5. Channel-Specific Policies
5.1 WhatsApp Business API
You must comply with WhatsApp Business Solution Terms and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy. This includes using only Meta-approved templates for outbound messages, respecting the 24-hour customer service window, and obtaining valid opt-in for marketing messages (which are not permitted on Soqqet anyway).
5.2 SMS
SMS is subject to country-specific regulations including the US TCPA, EU ePrivacy Directive, and similar laws. You must:
- Identify yourself in the message body
- Include opt-out instructions where required by law
- Honor opt-out requests immediately
- Not send to recipients on national do-not-call lists
5.3 Telegram
You must comply with Telegram's Terms of Service and Bot API rules. Cross-promotional content between unrelated bots is prohibited.
5.4 Self-Hosted WhatsApp (WAHA)
WAHA uses unofficial WhatsApp Web automation, which violates WhatsApp Terms of Service. Use of WAHA is at Customer's sole risk. Soqqet provides no warranty against account suspension by Meta.
6. Consent and Opt-out Requirements
You must:
- Obtain valid, documented opt-in consent before messaging any recipient
- Maintain records of consent (timestamp, source, and IP if applicable)
- Provide an opt-out mechanism in every message where required
- Honor opt-out requests immediately and permanently
- Not contact opted-out recipients through any other Soqqet workflow
Soqqet provides automated tools to support these obligations, but ultimate responsibility for consent and opt-out lies with the Customer as Data Controller.
